Founded in 1956, the Mount Vernon Park Gator swim team is one of six charter members of the Northern Virginia Swimming League.

Welcome to Mount Vernon Park

Mount Vernon Park is a 13.2-acre summer oasis in the heart of Fort Hunt, where families gather to swim, play, and unwind. With three pools (an Olympic, short-course, and children’s wading pool), tennis and pickleball courts, a stocked fishing pond, and shaded recreation areas, MVPA offers a seasonal escape full of activity and connection to our members. Whether you’re here for a quiet afternoon or a lively member event, there’s something for everyone.
