Oktoberfest, 4-9pm, Sat, 10/8-details on cook-offs, activities inside

Come celebrate the Fall Season at our MVPA Family Oktoberfest… with
a Chili Cookoff, Beer Tasting, Kids Bake-Off Competition and an Outdoor Movie too!

Start the event with free glitter tattoos from Let’s Make A Face, 4-6pm. There will also be a children’s craft, and kids can even dress up and show off their favorite costume.

The playground will be open during the party, but please continue to follow the park safety rules, and don’t forget to bring your fishing rods as it will be a good time to get one last catch!

Chili Cookoff & Beer Tasting – 4:30pm

If you would like to take part in the Chili Cookoff, please bring your crockpot of Chili between
4-4:30pm. Judging and serving will start at 4:30pm. Winners will recieve prizes. If you don’t bring Chili, please bring an appetizer or another dish to share with everyone.

Beer Tasting will also start at 4:30pm. Please bring your favorite beer or even your own home brew to share.

Non-alcoholic beverages for the youngsters are also appreciated.

Kids Bake-Off Competion – 5:30pm

We will also have our first “Children’s Dessert Competition”. Kids 18 & under, please bring a homemade Halloween or special Fall dessert for this competition. Starting at 5:30pm, our Judges will pick the best decorated and best tasting desserts. Winners will recieve prizes. Afterwards, the rest of us can enjoy the yummy treats!

The firepit will be going on throughout the evening, so feel free to bring your own s’mores fixings.

Outdoor Movie – 6:30pm

Also, don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets, because at 6:30pm, we will be playing the movie, “Hocus Pocus”.
